Goro Nickel Project - New Caledonia

Wagner Investments Pty Ltd completed a contract to supply approximately 160,000 cubic metres of concrete, and crush and supply the concrete aggregate, for the foundations for processing plants, wharf, tunnels, dams and general civil works for the Goro Nickel Mine.

Concrete production for this project continued year round, despite extreme heat and constant heavy rainfall.

The Project Manager for this contract was the Goro Construction Team, comprising Inco, Hatch and Technip. The client was INCO and the expected duration of the project’s duration was approximately 18 months.
