Wagners have access to the finest Australian and international cementitious materials for the manufacture of their quality cement products. The Wagners team of professional cement experts utilise state of the art manufacturing and laboratory facilities in order to produce cement that meets Australian Industry Standards. All Wagners’ cement and cementitious materials conform to the requirements of Australian Standards AS 3972, AS 3582.1, AS 3582.2, AS 3582.3, MRTS70 and ATIC Specification SP 43.
Wagners Cement Plant at Pinkenba in Brisbane is a grinding plant producing GP (General Purpose) cement and GB (General Blend) cements. The plant is certified under ISO 9001 and operates a fully accredited NATA laboratory on site. Wagners cements are registered with ATIC (Australian Technical Infrastructure Committee), listed with Queensland Main Roads Registered Supplier List and have been accepted for use by Roads and Maritime Services, New South Wales and VicRoads in Victoria.
General Purpose Cement (GP)
Portland cement clinker and gypsum are ground to a targeted fineness (Blaine) resulting in a General Purpose Cement suitable for most construction applications. General Purpose Cement is the most widely used cement in Australia.
High Early Strength Cement (HE)
Portland cement clinker and gypsum are ground to a targeted fineness (Blaine). The product is designed to be used where the application requires high early age strength gain in concrete. HE cements are typically used in precast and post-tensioned concrete applications.
Shrinkage Limited Cement (SL)
Portland cement clinker and gypsum are ground to a targeted fineness (Blaine). The product is designed to be used where the application requires reduced concrete shrinkage.
Sulphate Resistant Cement (SR)
Portland cement clinker and gypsum are ground to a targeted fineness (Blaine) and blended with fly ash. The product is designed to be used where the application requires concrete resistance against sulphates.
General Blended Cements - GBF (FAB) - GBS- HSC
GBF (FAB) Portland cement blended with 25% flyash. GBF provides improved workability with increased durability while still retaining the strength of General Purpose Cement. FAB cement also displays reduced alkali and silica reaction with increased resistance to sulphate intrusion. Flyash Blended Cement is widely used in road stabilisation and general construction. Other flyash blends of varying blend ratios can also be produced on request. Wagners Cement flyash source is the Millmerran Power Station situated some 230 kilometres west of Pinkenba.
GBS and HSC Portland cement blends are made by blending Portland Cement and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (25% Slag blend -GBS and 60% Slag blend - HSC). They enhance concrete durability (chloride, sulphate and alkali silicate reaction resistance). HSC cement is also widely used in road stabilisation. Other slag blends of varying blend ratios can also be produced on request.
Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS)
Slag is ground to targeted fineness and designed to be used in concrete industry as supplementary cementitious material. Unique properties of GGBFS significantly improve durability and other concrete properties. GGBFS is also widely used in combination with cement, fly ash and/or hydrated lime in the road stabilisation.
Hydrated Lime
To complement our world class cement grinding facility we also import and distribute hydrated lime and other silica based products. We do so to service particularly our civil contracting customers however we are also able to service customers in the waste treatment and disposal industry, the agricultural industry, the water treatment industry and the construction materials manufacturing industry. We have a state of the art handling and logistics operation that ensures good quality control and punctual deliveries 100% of the time.
