Wagners undertook an ore crushing and screening process at the Gunpowder Mine, north-west of Mt Isa for Aberfoyle Resources. This contract involved crushing ore from underground screening, taking test samples and transporting to the heap leach pads.
It was our responsibility to stockpile on the pads and manage the whole process ready for the cyanide sprays.
The Gunpowder Expansion Project involved an upgrade to the mine and associated infrastructure.
Wagners was contracted to establish a mobile concrete plant to supply the site with approximately 10,000 cubic metres of readymixed concrete and a mobile crushing plant to crush 50,000 tonnes of aggregate, roadbase and 50,000 tonnes of ore.
