The new Wagners CFT Baio Bridge was built using the existing timber piles. The old timber bridge was demolished until all that was left was the timber piles, the timber piles were then cut down until they were considered as good timber, then sleeved with a composite round pile which was back filled with concrete to unify the 2 elements. From the Wagners CFT used its conventional bridge members to build a new composite road bridge.
